Submitting a Plan
To submit a plan, use the green button entitled "Submit a Business Plan" or the link in the top right hand corner of any page entitled "Entrepreneur Login." For an initial submission, create your login credentials and then enter your plan in the format requested. DO NOT MAIL OR EMAIL PLANS - THEY WILL NOT BE REVIEWED UNLESS SUBMITTED THROUGH THE WEBSITE.
Entrepreneurs submitting their business plan should ensure that at minimum the plan covers the following:
- The problem you solve
- The technology behind your solution, and how is it protected
- Size and growth rate of the potential market
- Current and likely future competitors
- Sales and marketing plan
- Your team of managers, investors, professional service providers and advisors
- The milestones achievable with the capital requested, plus future funding plan
- Financial overview
- Valuation metrics and the possible timing of the liquidity event
South Coast does not help you develop your plan. If you need assistance in developing or validating you plan, please check our partner page. These organizations provide resources to startup companies.
Entrepeneurs should take note that while South Coast is currently accepting plans, South Coast may or may not respond to your plan submission. Submitting a plan does not obligate South Coast in any way and does not guarantee that South Coast will make an investment or even schedule a presentation.
Some plans do not meet our general requirements (hint - read the "Entrepreneur" section of the website before submitting a plan), sometimes we'll just have better options, and sometimes we're just not interested. South Coast is not an industry specific fund, but we only invest in industries in which our membership has some expertise. While our angels represent great diversity in knowledge and expertise, we may not have expertise in your particular segment.
Also, South Coast will not sign Non-disclosure/Confidentiality Agreements, therefore entrepreneurs should be judicious regarding the extent of proprietary information revealed. The South Coast management team will recommend opportunities conforming to the fund investment criteria for presentation to the South Coast Investment Screening Committee.
